I've been here twice now. The first time was on a Wednesday night, so it was nice and quiet. We were seated upstairs and the wait staff were very attentive. The food was quite slow, taking about 30-40 minutes to arrive, but it was pretty good (at the end of the day it was a burger and they are really only so tasty!). It was a nice date night and the food was good, easily a 4 star experience because the only annoying thing was the wait time and the fact that the food came on paper on the plate - this is a very bad idea when serving greasy food as the paper just disintegrates. Still, my partner really enjoyed his cheesy chips and we had a nice evening. We were then very foolish and decided to go for dinner on a Saturday night. We booked on advance, thinking if wise to secure a table and we went for 8.30pm because we could then stay for the evening without a time pressure. We arrived 10 minutes early and were told that if we wanted to sit upstairs we'd have to wait at the bar for 10 minutes or we could sit downstairs straight away. That was fair, so we got a drink and waited at the very busy bar. It was incredibly loud and we were looking forward to going upstairs. 10 minutes passed and the waitress came and told us that our table was in fact downstairs, in the corner by the door. I was unimpressed; we would have chosen to be seated immediately if we'd known we'd end up there anyway. Still, we sat down and ordered. It was very cold at the table. Definite draft and we considered just leaving. However I put up with it, just kept my coat on. We then waited for 45 minutes for our food to arrive. In that time, people were seated next to us, very close to our table. Also, the security guards spent about 20 minutes flitting in and out of the door, letting in a horrendous draught. Food eventually showed up, and again it was good. Honestly though, a 13 burger only tastes so good at the end of the day. It was not tasty enough to outweigh how loud, cramped and cold it was at our table. It was a terrible date and I don't think we'll ever go back. This was a 2* experience without a doubt. The only positive other than the food about this evening was the staff. One of the waitresses was clearly rushed off her feet yet she stayed attentive and kept coming back to check on us! She deserved a medal!
Amazing service and the best food in the area. Staff could not have been more accommodating and we loved the vibe. Would come back every week if we could. Perfect for couples, friends and always amazing atmosphere
Quite enjoyed my food until it came to paying the bill when a rather scruffy gent took the money from the table. I then waited and waited for my change, chased a different waitress a couple of times as he was nowhere to be seen and eventually got it much later. Nice food but let themselves down assuming a tip, as a result I didn't leave one despite "Berry face" being pleasant enough till this second character took the money and ran
I am a big fun of this place. I try to visit regularly and try something new every time. Being a local this place is a must go when I have guests visiting me. Reasonably priced, great burgers, great atmosphere and friendly staff. What more to ask?
We had a lovely evening. Amazing burgers, made very special for our triplet daughters birthday... thank you. Will definitely head back!
