First time in this establishment although i live directly opposite anyway getting fed up with KFC thought I'd give these guys a try well i stood at the counter for around 10 minutes just to see if the chap would turn round to see if he had any customers.Finally after ringing a bell he turns round and ask what i would like told him and he said bear with me it's only my second time here. Completes the order then get told the very young lad cooking the food may take a while as it is his second time there as wellThese two are the only people in the shop! So i sat down to a dirty table in fact they were all dirty crums and grease and that after 25 minutes my meal is ready What drink would you likeA Pepsi please We don't have any of those only diet Second shelf up from the bottom is packed full of them Oh yeah sorry Any how chips were yesterday's and the chicken was below average but it was cheaper than KFC But they won't be getting my custom again.
After attempting to try out the chicken shack before and having been disappointed by the fact it is frequently closed when it should be open.I finally got to try it paid 4 for a wrap that I would expect to pay considerably less for elsewhere. I had great dificulty eating it due to the spicey sauce that was all over it. Whilst I was there a member of staff was very rude to some teenagers who complained there chicken was not cooked properly. I had concerns about the general levels of cleanlness in the place, especially as the food is prepared behind the scenes. Like a lot of local residents I am concern about about these late night takeawayas and the drunken hooligan element they attract. As a keen food expert, I am horrified by the nutritional content of the food served up here. And from an environmental point of view I am deeply concerned about the huge amounts of litter including plastics that originate from stores like the chicken shack. But my greatest concern is the amount of food debris around that encourage rodents, vermin and even rat infestations.
Tried this place recently after reading the reviews and decided to try for myself.Very impressed with the food.Glad to say its now my family's favorite. Must recommend the flame grilled chicken and the ribs.... AMAZING!!!
It's is,with sadness that I have to write this. We tried this chicken shack Leigh for the first time tonight.. we pickup are order of a combination meal if chicken pieces and wings and lamb ribs. We got it home and was impressed with the chips..and the lamb ribs. But this,is,as far as it goes. Took a big bite out of a chicken leg.and it was rotten. When I smelt it it was off.i had already swallowed a piece of this rotten chicken.I was so upset I went straight back to the,shop. To speak with the manager. I showed him the chicken and told him to smell it.....he said that all the chicken us cooked fresh...he did not know how it was rotten..maybe it had been left out to defrost !! He did offer me a replacement..but to be honest I did not feel that good. Are meal was 20.00 pound he gave back the cost of the chicken.which he said was 10.00. The fact that are whole meal was ruined seemed not to come into the fact .. so we get 10.00 refund...not impressed....fortunately I have kept a bit of the chicken so if we do get sick I will inform environmental health of this problem...it's,a,shame as,we do like to airport are local businesses...
